I lived on Charles Mill Lake in high school. It’s 10 hp, so it’s quiet: fishing, kayaks, pontoons. It’s farther from Canton than the others, so think about the drive before you fall for it.

What’s new

In August 2026 MWCD finished $8.7 million in improvements to the Charles Mill marina, beach and beach campground. The park has a new swimming beach, an adventure playground, disc golf, pickleball and kayak launches. Charles Mill Dam was built in 1935–36 on the Black Fork for flood control.
